These sales formats and brands are part of the REWE Group:
In 1927, seventeen purchasing cooperatives joined forces to create “Revisionsverband der Westkaufgenossenschaften” – or simply: REWE – for the purpose of organising the joint buying of food. A cooperative group that is now a thriving international business was born. As a cooperative with a tradition of 95 years, we are well aware of our environmental and social obligations towards future generations. Securing a sustainable future is our mission.
Since 2008, sustainability has been an integral part of the REWE Group’s mission and daily business through its group-wide sustainability management. The approach is based on four pillars: “Green Products”, “Energy, Climate and the Environment”, “Employees” and “Social Commitment”.
In German food retail, we run the REWE and nahkauf supermarkets, the discounter PENNY and the convenience stores REWE To Go.
